While there was 25% student discount on ASOS I just couldn't resist making a cheeky purchase. I've never had a NARS blusher before, but they've always been something I've lusted after. I chose Desire, a vivid matte pink which admittedly is a little daunting in the pan. It's a gorgeous formula which is really easy to blend and amazingly pigmented, so you need to make sure you apply with a very light hand, but it is gorgeous once on the skin. It lasts all day long easily, and doesn't tend to fade at all on my oily skin. I absolutely adore this, and have worn it so often since getting it, but now I want another one! Gina looks absolutely gorgeous, and I've been fancying Laguna for ages... my bank account wont be impressed!

Date Night Jay DIY
Happy Valentines Day! I realise that for a lot of people, Valentines Day is a bit of a cliche. I've heard an endless amount of people moan about how you should treat your loved ones wonderfully every day, but for me and my better half it's an excuse to go for a nice meal and give each other some soppy presents, so we don't complain. As we are both students money is a little tight, so I made an effort to think of a way to give him a nice present which wouldn't cost too much, and turned to Pinterest for some ideas. There was a number of lovely homemade gifts, my favourite of which was the 'Date Jar'. This is basically a jar full of possible activities to pick from on a night you fancy doing something nice as a couple. I grabbed my pen, scissors and glue and got creative!

Favourite High Street Eyeliners
I am a massive eye liner fan. On a pretty much daily basis, I wear a cat-eye flick on my upper lash line, so I am always on the look out for the most long-lasting, pure black, quick drying eye liner which is easy to apply. These are my favourite eye liners at the moment.
My sister introduced me to this eye liner years ago, and since then we have both repurchased it an endless amount of times. It is really easy to use, leaving a completely black line which is long lasting. It isn't very waterproof, but that doesn't really affect me, and it isn't suitable for wear on your waterline. The applicator is short and spongy, making it really easy to create lines as thick or thin as you like. It's dirt cheap, and really easy to pick up on the high street, making it my go-to every day eye liner.
Another recommendation from my sister, the Prestige eye liner is a kohl pencil I have returned to over and over again. It smoothly glides onto my waterline, is long-lasting and is a complete bargain! No complaints here!
I bought the crystal version of this eye liner by accident, meaning to pick up the true black shade. The sparkles actually aren't too noticeable on your eyelid, especially when it is paired with a shimmery shadow. The long spongy applicator makes for really easy application, and the formula dries really quickly, which I love. I'll definitely be purchasing the Carbon Gloss version when the next pay check comes in!
My best friend swears by this eye liner and uses it on both her lash line and waterline on a daily basis. I tend to stay away from this on my lash line because I prefer gel or liquid, but I do like wearing this on my lower water line. It applies really easily, and I love that it's a twist-up pencil, eliminating the need for sharpening.
This is without a doubt my holy grail eye liner, I have recently repurchased after using my last pot on a daily basis for a whole year! It is a true black shade, easy to apply, dries quickly, doesn't smear or transfer and dries quickly - what more could I ask for?! It can be applied to both lash line and waterline with no irritation, which I love and it lasts all day on me. A definite must-have!
Maybelline Liquid Eye Liner
This eye liner was sent to my by my grandmother, who lives in France. I've never seen this liner in a shop or on-line so I'm unable to provide a link or price for it unfortunately. It has a long thin brush applicator which is a lot easier to use than you'd expect, and the colour is true black. The formula takes a while to dry, but it is very long lasting, which makes up for waiting another two minutes in the morning in my opinion. I do really like this eye liner, but it's a bit of a pain that I won't be able to repurchase it when I run out.
What eye liner do you reach for most often? I really fancy adding the Pixi Lash Line Ink to my collection, it sounds right up my street and has the sweetest packaging of all time!

My Favourite Lip Products
Only recently I've branched out into bolder lip colours, and now I just can't get enough of them! A year ago a mid-toned pink was branching out for me, and now I'm a changed girl.
On a daily basis I tend to reach for one of two shades - either my Revlon Lip Butter in Sweetheart, a gorgeous blue-toned pink which can be worn as a subtle wash of colour or built up to a brighter shade, or Revlon's Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Cherish, which is a lighter pink and leaves a slight stain on my lips. Both colours are easy to wear, not too bold and gorgeous formulas. I prefer these slightly more suble colours for days at university or work. I find myself often reaching for the Revlon JBK Balm Stain in Romantic, a gorgeous wearable red which also leaves a beautiful stain once the balm has faded. I also adore my red lipstick in Ruby Woo, which is a wonderful long-lasting matte red shade. I've recently enjoyed wearing Look Beauty's Loud Lips in Hypermelon, and I can see this becoming even more popular with my lips in the warmer summer months. Blistex MedPlus is an absolute staple in my collection, I apply it every morning and every evening, and it keeps my lips soft and moisturised.
What are your favourite lip products? Are you a bold lips girl or do you stick to more neutral colours?
