How I Remove My Make-up

So often I talk about the make up I put on my face every day, but I never talk about how I remove it.  After switching products over and over again for years, I've finally found a few products that really work for my skin.

I don't tend to wear waterproof mascara or any eye-makeup which is particularly difficult to remove, but if I can help it I avoid rubbing at my eye area.  The L'Oreal Eye and Lip makeup remover swipes everything away without any effort.  All I do is shake the bottle to mix the bi-phase lotion, pop some on a cotton pad and hold it over my eyes for a few seconds, then wipe away the makeup until it's all gone.  I also tend to use this to remove my Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade because that stuff sticks around!

Next step is my face make-up.  I use the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water on another cotton pad to wipe away any traces of foundation, bronzer and blusher.  I tend to use around 3 or 4 cotton pads to remove everything.  I love this micellar water - it removes make-up easily, doesn't leave my skin feeling tight and it's a bargain at only £3.99 for this huge bottle!

Although after the Micellar water my face feels pretty clean, I like to use a creamy cleanser to make sure my skin is completely clean before putting on any lotions and potions.  I have fallen head over heels in love with the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish hot cloth cleanser.  I massage a pump all over my face then remove it using the muslin cloth and hot water.  The muslin cloth gives my skin a gentle exfoliation and makes sure every scrap of make up is removed.  My skin feels soft, squeaky clean and smells heavenly.

What do you use to remove your make up? I'm planning on posting about my full skincare routine soon!
