Goodbye 2014

2014 was a big year for me, a lot happened.  I turned 21.  I totally fell in love with teaching.  I graduated with a 2:1 degree in Primary Education.  I moved in with my wonderful boyfriend.  I moved four hours away from my family and the place I've always called home.  I got my first job teaching a class of 7 year olds.  It's been wonderful and difficult - I've learnt a lot, and I know what I want to do next and I can honestly say that right now I am happy.  What more could I want?

My 2014:

Things I learnt in 2014
  • It doesn't matter what other people think - who cares if I look like a world class idiot if I'm happy or I'm making other people happy so let go and have some fun
  • Life in the real world is hard - after living a cushty life as a student, I've had a bit of a reality check, but I'm coping and I know I can do this
  • Try new things - go big and splash out on an exciting trip or do something smaller and read a different sort of book because you'll never know until you try

Things I want to do in 2015
  • Be healthy - stop worrying about my weight or my wobbly bits and focus on eating well and getting off my bum to do some exercise
  • Work efficiently - rather than wasting time doing boring things, work out the best way to get them done quicker and spend that free time doing something I love
  • Make the most of everything - life is way too short to let it pass you by, stop every once in a while to really see
  • Be happy - although I feel happy, I know I can be more positive on a day to day basis which will cheer me up and hopefully everyone around me
Happy new year!
