Beauty Wishlist

Current beauty wishlish

I still haven't found my perfect base, so my current lusts are made up from quite a few base products.  I'm getting pretty sick of my horribly oily skin, nobody has time to apply powder a million times today so I need some miracle products.  I'm fancying the look of the Kiko Mat Base Corrector primer (here) and the Benefit Porefessional Agent Zero Shine powder (here) to keep my shine at bay.  I do love Estee Lauder Double Wear, but sometimes I do wish it was a little sheerer so I'm hoping to try the Light version (here) and rely on the matching concealer (here) to cover imperfections as the weather (hopefully) warms up.

After finishing my first ever MAC blush, Pinch O' Peach, I can't help looking to replace it.  It was such a gorgeous shade perfect for day-to-day wear, and I planned for searching for something similar, but when I spotted this MAC beauty which will be released in spring I fell a little bit in love.  I can definitely wait a few months if it means I can get my hands on this!  To match a new blusher I'd love to go for a MAC 109 brush (here).  I had a brush of a similar shape from Lauren Luke a few years ago and I loved it, but it shed so much that I just couldn't use it and I never replaced it even though it was part of my daily routine.  On the theme of cheeks, I still can't stop thinking about the Chanel Soleil de Tan.  This has been on my wishlist for years and every time anyone mentions it I just want it even more!

Lastly: lips.  I've got my eyes on three little beauties: The Korres lip butters have been on my radar for a long time, but this post from Natalie has pushed me over the edge - bloggers are such enablers but I need one!  Another blogger-enabled fancy is the Clarins Instant Light Lip Perfectors, Jennie is forever writing about how much she loves them, and I can't help feeling like I need to try them for myself (here)!  Lastly I'm wishing for the Revlon Colourburst Matte balms (here) - I adore their just bitten kissable balm stains so I'm desperate to get my mitts on these.  I'm not so drawn to the Lacquer Balms because I guess they'll be pretty similar to the stains? But the matte option is something a bit different and I've got four shades on my mind - alusive, audacious, unapologetic and mischievous. I just might take advantage of the current 3 for 2 Revlon offer at Boots tonight!

It's not in the image, but I'm also fancying the La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo+ (here), I love love love the original duo, and adding a brightening agent which is said to fade scars could just make it even more perfect for my problem skin! La Roche Posay is without a doubt my favourite skincare brand and I'm desperate to try their newest release!

What have you got your eye on this month?

  1. I'm using the Effaclar Duo+ at the moment and I'm really liking it so far - although I'd recommend buying it on the Boots website as the introductory offer they have on it there doesn't seem to be available in store. Thanks so much for mentioning my post too - I'm so glad you enjoyed it and you've definitely got me interested in the Kiko primer now! x

  3. You definitely need a clarins lip perfector in your life, they're so perfect for those minimal make up days and they smell like caramel, yummy! <3

  4. Sorry to hear your skin is so oily.. mine is too and I just hate it!
It's so hard to find products that work but I've been having bests results when I clean my face with a cotton pad and some of the Lush tea tree water first, then I apply a little bit of gel moisturizer (clinique Dramatically bettter moisturizer for oily skin) and then I continue with my foundation. I really like the porefessional primer because it makes my pores look very much smaller but it does nothing with my oily skin. I've heard the MAC skin refined zone primer is excellent with oily skin so i'd love to give it a try!
