Boyfriend Approved

Although I choose my beauty products based on my own opinion, it's always a nice little boost to receive compliments from people close to me.  There are a couple of beauty products which I know my boyfriend loves and I can't help cracking them out for date nights.
Although I'm a little self-concious about my skin, my boyfriend much prefers a natural base so my skin is still visible.  If I pop a bit of concealer over any blemishes or imperfections, I'm much more likely to get a nod of approval than a higher coverage foundation.  My favourite is the Estee Lauder Double Wear Flawless Finish Concealer for a bit of coverage that doesn't budge.

I'm a bit of a self-confessed blush addict, and I tend to mix up my cheek colour on a daily basis.  Every single time I choose the Laura Mercier Second Skin Cheek Colour in Lush Nectarine my boyfriend will comment on how nice my make up looks - it's become a bit of a running joke.  This blusher is particularly perfect in the summer months for a hint of peach and a slight shimmer to add a healthy glow.

On my eyes, he adores a cat-eye flick.  Since the start of our relationship I've noticed a trend in comments on my eye make-up; it's only when I've got a slick of liner along my lash line.  For a true black line that stays put all day Collection's Fast Stroke eye liner is an old favourite.

Although Rob prefers a natural base, he's a sucker for a bright lip.  Even though it bit of a pain in the kissing department, given a choice he will always go for a bright pop of colour.  His all-time favourite is MAC Ruby Woo, a classic red shade that is seriously long lasting.  Especially when paired with a lip liner to accentuate my cupid's bow, this is sure to get his seal of approval, although it may have something to do with the fact that it was a present from him...

Lastly, scent-wise he has similar taste to me, most of my fruity-floral perfumes are a hit, especially the Marc Jacobs beauties.  But unexpectedly, he can't get enough of the smell of the Charles Worthington Texturising Spray.  Admittedly, it does smell pretty good!

Is there any products your other half can't get enough of?
