i Italian Restaurant

i italian american restaurant Southsea Portsmouth review

After visiting i a few weeks after moving to Portsmouth, Rob and I talk about it so often.  The atmosphere was brilliant, the food was to die for and we both really enjoyed an excellent night.  A few weeks ago we couldn't put it off any longer, and this time I took my camera with me.

This time, we were there on a Sunday evening and admittedly, the atmosphere wasn't quite the same as on a busy Saturday night.  There were only three tables occupied, but the music was loud enough that you didn't have to lower your voice, but not so loud that I couldn't hear Rob across the table.  The service was brilliant all night and the food was even better!

The idea of i is to cross over between american and italian food.  You can have a read of their website here if you fancy.  Rob and I took full advantage of the different cuisines; I went for an italian pasta dish and Rob chose a massive burger.

The food was too die for, my seafood pasta was incredible and although Rob couldn't quite eat this massive mountain of fries, everything we ordered was delicious.

We both enjoyed out evening again, but I definitely recommend visiting at a more popular time to experience the buzzing atmosphere we loved during our first visit.
