I've build up a bit of a collection of make-up brushes, and there are a few brush-and-beauty-product partners which are truly a match made in heaven. After reading a similar post on From Roses, I was inspired to write my own post all about my favourite brush and beauty product pairings.
Zoeva 106 Powder brush and MAC Studio Fix powder - I fell in love with this beautiful powder a little while ago, but since adding this Zoeva brush to my collection in December I hadn't noticed it's full potential. This brush somehow applies the perfect amount; maximum coverage with minimum cakeyness. A bonus feature of the brush is how simple and easy it is to wash, it's easier than any other power brush I've owned.
Sephora Mineral Powder brush and Laura Mercier Mineral Foundation - I'm a long-term fan of mineral powder foundations, and I completely believe that using them with the right brush makes or breaks them. This Sephora brush picks up a perfect amount of product and makes the foundation so easy to blend evenly over my skin.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade and the Zoeva 317 Wing Liner Brush - I reach for dipbrow pomade every day without fail to fill in my brows, so I definitely needed the perfect brush to pair with it. Although I own the Zoeva 322 Brow Line brush, I much prefer the longer hairs of the wing liner brush to draw in natural looking hairs.
Real Techniques Sculpting Brush and Illamasqua Gel Sculpt in Silhouette - This Real Techniques brush is the perfect partner for cream products, and I love using it with this gel contouring stick. I apply the products from the bullet straight onto the brush then dab/blend it beneath my cheekbones bit-by-bit. I love that it applies really sheer so I can build up the colour as slowly as I want without going overboard.
Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Palette and the Zoeva Rose Gold Eye Set - It is pretty much impossible to choose one brush to use with an entire palette, so I've gone for five. For base shadow application I adore the Luxe Smoky Shader, too add definition in the crease it has to be the Luxe Petit Crease and to blend it all together the Luxe Crease is perfect. I add a hint of shimmer to the inner corner and brow bone using the Luxe Pencil brush and I pop a darker shade below my lower lash line using the Detail Shader brush. In a nutshell: they're beautiful, they apply shadows wonderfully and I love them!
Zoeva 127 Luxe Cheer Cheek brush and Urban Decay Afterglow Powder Blush in Video - Lately I can't get enough of this beautiful blusher, so I'm pairing these two together every day, but I love pairing this brush with every blusher I own. It picks up the perfect amount of pigment on the super-soft bristles and I have so much control over where the product is applied. I love it!
Sephora Angled Blush Brush/Real Technques Setting Brush with Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit - I've been a bit naughty and picked two brushes to match with this product. The Sephora angled brush is wonderful for applying and blending the darker contour shades, and the setting brush is perfect for setting under-eye concealer or popping a bit of the shimmery shade on the tops of my cheekbones.
Zoeva 102 Silk Finish Brush and Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation - This is possibly my favourite pairing ever. I adore this brilliant foundation, and this brush is without a doubt the perfect tool to use with it. It buffs the products flawlessly within seconds and leaves a beautiful base.
Can you tell how much I'm loving my Zoeva brushes?! What are your favourite brush and beauty matches?
