2016 Makeup Favourites (So Far)
We're about a quarter of the way through the year, so I thought it would be worth looking at my favourite makeup bits and pieces so far this year. Some of these are still favourites which I included in my 2015 Makeup Favourites post, and some of them are new finds.
Since buying the Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer, I can't stop using it. It's high coverage finish is perfect for concealing under-eye circles or blemishes and it's creamy consistency makes it a dream to blend, but once set with powder it stays in place all day long. I love it.
I can't get enough of the Benefit The POREfessional Matte Rescue Primer lately. The gel consistency is a dream for my oily skin and it helps keep shine at bay while locking my base in place. It is almost undetectable on my skin, such a nice change from silicone-heavy primers. On top of the primer, I am loving the Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Makeup. A liquidy foundation which feels super light on the skin, but still manages a decent level of coverage and sticks around for a whole day at work is a winner in my eyes.
I still can't believe I avoided highlighters for so long. I always thought the last thing I wanted to add to my oily skin was glow, but I was wrong. I love popping a sweep of The Balm's Mary Loumanizer across the tops of my cheekbones with the Zoeva Luxe Highlight brush, and popping some on my brow bone, cupids bow and inner corner. it is beautiful.
On my lips, I have been reaching for two products more than anything else. I am still loving Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in Liar which was in my 2015 Makeup Favourites, but a new favourite of mine is the Colourpop Ultra Matte Liquid Lipstick in Solow. It's a beautiful slightly cool-toned pink which is so easy to wear, and especially beautiful at this time of year.
I only bought the Urban Decay Cosmic 24/7 Eye Pencil Set a few weeks ago, but it has quickly become one of my favourite makeup purchases. Although I love all of the shades, I reach for Stag, Trick and Supply the most. They are so creamy and smooth, but they stay in place all day (with a little help from the Urban Decay Primer Potion).
Another favourite which popped up in my 2015 Makeup Favourites post is the Benefit Roller Lash mascara. It adds volume, length, a true black coat, a slight curl and it doesn't flake or smudge. What more could I want?
I am still loving the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade. I recently switched to a lighter shade, and I much prefer how it looks now that my hair is pretty blonde. It's an absolute dream when paired with the Zoeva Wing Liner brush.
As you can probably tell, I am loving Urban Decay lately, and I have my eye on even more of their products. I love the look of the lip liner in Ex Girlfriend, and the new bronzers and highlighters. What are your favourite products so far this year?

The Naked concealer is my absolute favourite! I usually don't like to wear foundation on a daily basis so I just pop some of that under my eyes and a little bit on my chin and I'm good to go. Roller Lash is another great product, Benefit really does some of the best mascaras around.
