NARS One Night Stand Cheek Palette

Nars One Night Stand Palette

After dreaming about this beautiful limited edition palette for weeks, how could I resit treating myself when its release date came three days after pay day?  Released as part of the Holiday 2013 collection, this collaboration with Guy Bourdin  is the perfect companion for travelling.  Recently I'm forever on a train visiting friends, family and my boyfriend at various universities across the country, so I'm a sucker for anything travel-friendly.  Although the palette is compact, the pans are big enough to fit a blusher or bronzer brush in.

Devotee is a gorgeous pale shimmery highlight shade, which I've been using along the tops of my cheekbones, down my nose and occasionally in the inner corners of my eyes and on my cupid's bow.  You need to use a light hand, as it's very easy to end up looking like a disco ball, but on a fluffy brush it's a beauty. Mistinguette is a pale, matte, light pink blush which I think will be perfect in the summer.  Orgasm is one of Nars' best known blushers which is packed with shimmer - no highlighter needed here.  It's a beautiful shade, and I can completely see why it's a best seller.  Laguna has been on my wishlist forever, so I'm so happy to try it.  It's a perfect shade for adding a hint of warmth to your complexion thanks to the hint of a glow, but for contouring I'm still a Hoola girl.  Deep Throat is an easy all-rounder; a hint of pink, touch or peach, slight shimmer and long-lasting.  An every-day blush for all skintones.  Goulue is a gorgeous A/W slightly shimmery shade with plummy undertones.  This shade is definitely what I've been reaching for the most since the palette dropped through my letterbox.

Unfortunately this little beauty is now sold out on-line, and it's exclusive to Space NK, although I've heard rumours of more stock in December.  It set me back £45 but it was worth it - isn't it a stunner?

  1. This palette looks so beautiful, all of the shades are so wearable! I would definitely be looking to get it if I didn't already own Laguna and Deep Throat so I feel like it would be a bit of a waste of money. Mistinguette looks gorgeous but it's probably just limited to this palette? And of course I would love to try out Orgasm.. Lovely review :) Btw, I can't believe I wasn't following your blog before now, I love it! xx

    1. I only own one NARS blush other than this palette, and it isn't included so it's perfect for me :) Mistinguette is absolutely beautiful, in the pan and on the skin! Aw thank you so much lovely! xx

  5. I think this would've been irresistible to me if I didn't already have Deep Throat, Laguna and Orgasm. I love NARS blushes and this palette is such a fantastic way of sampling a few of their classics and new shades for a relatively affordable price compared with the cost of a single blush.

    1. Agreed - I paid £25 for my last single NARS blusher, and for less than double that price this palette gives you six! x
