Brand Focus: Urban Decay


I am a bit of a long-term lover of Urban Decay - their packaging makes a welcome change from the usual matte black a lot of brands seem to go for and their products are high-quality and beautiful to wear.  These are the Urban Decay bits and bobs in my stash.


Urban Decay are basically eye shadow royalty.  I have the original Naked palette, Naked Basics palette and the create-your-own Moonflower palette with Moonflower and Baked in.  Every single shadow is beautifully pigmented, buttery smooth and long lasting.  They are even longer lasting when paired with the Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion - the only thing that can keep shadow in place on my oily lids.

When it comes to lips, the Revoloution lipsticks are pretty impressive.  Great pigmentation, creamy finish and cute gunmetal and purple packaging.  My favourite shades are Streak, Liar and Gash.  This little Lipstick Stash is perfect for trying a few mini versions of the Revoloution lipsticks and the Glide-on lip pencil in Ozone - a clear waxy pencil which keeps colour around for longer.

I haven't tried many Urban Decay base bits, apart from the De-slick setting spray which helps keep my make-up around a bit longer and gets rid of any powdery cakiness.  I'd love to try the new concealers and blushers, their instagram uploads have been tempting me for weeks!

    I have the Naked 2 palette, but I really want to try some more products from them, particularly the Primer Potion! Btw, I live in Portsmouth too!

    I need to try a basics palette. The only reason why I would want to buy this though is for travel. I have so many eyeshadows already. I have recently picked up their setting spray, which I’m going to take away with me on holiday, so looking forward to trying that.

      It's perfect for travel, especially because you can use a few of the shadows for a few things - there's an eyebrow shade, a pale yellow to set under-eye concealer and a highlight for brow bone/cupids bow :)

    Hello xx I've just followed your blog on bloglovin and I'm visiting from twitter xx I still own the original primer potion and it still has not failed me. I've seen so much about UD shadows that I can't wait to try them. I love their 24/7 eyeliners--they're so intense. I wasn't interested in any of the Naked palettes until they came out with the basics palette, which is on my wishlist.
