Top Five Eye Products of 2013

Top Five Eye Products of 2013 L'Oreal Urban Decay Maybelline

Next up is my top five make-up products for my peepers.  I finally got around to purchasing a full size Urban Decay Primer Potion, and I'm so happy that I did.  With my oily skin, shadows are forever creasing on my lids after just a few hours, and this primer is the only thing I've found to keep everything in place.  I use the smallest amount on each lid, but it makes such a huge difference that I never apply eye shadow without it now.  Read a bit more about it in my post, here.

After the primer potion, I need to choose an eyeshadow.  This year I've been loving the Maybelline Colour Tattoo eye shadows, especially the shade On and On Bronze - it's such an easy to apply and easy to wear shimmery bronze shade that can be used as a base shadow, built up with other shades to create a smokey eye or swept over the lid on its own.  The Urban Decay Naked Basics palette (review here) has been used so much this year - I use it to fill in my brows, highlight my brow bone and cupids bow, create a matte smokey eye, apply a matte base shade before building up a look with other shades and lining my eye with the two darkest shades.  It's perfect for travelling with, but I also find myself reaching for it daily around the house.  For me, no other eye shadow palette compares.

If you read my blog regularly you'll know that I'm a sucker for a cat-eye flick of eye liner.  Although at the beginning of the year I was using a gel eye liner by Maybelline, since picking up the L'Oreal Super Liner gel eye liner, I haven't used anything else.  The gel is such a smooth, true matte formula that's really easy to apply and long-lasting that no other eye liners compete.  The little brush that comes with it isn't too bad either!

Lastly - mascara.  I change up my mascara choice pretty regularly, I'm forever trying something new; however, no matter what else I try I always end up returning to L'Oreal Volume Million Lashes.  Although I do have a few high street mascaras lined up in my wishlist (Seventeen Dolled up and L'Oreal Telescopic False Lash Effect Waterproof), this is my favourite so far.  It isn't the perfect mascara - I'm still looking for that one - but it's pretty close.

Let me know what your favourite eye make-up is, I'd love to hear your mascara recommendations!  Next up is my favourite base products.
