Pink Beauty Favourites

Pink Beauty Favourites Revlon L'oreal NARS
With spring finally poking it's little head out, I'm starting to gravitate away from the full coverage base and berry lips, and beginning to crave lighter finishes and pastel pink shades.  Lately I've found myself repeatedly reaching for pinky hues in all aspects of my make-up; eyes, cheeks and lips - these are the products I've been going for.

For a lighter base I've been using the Laura Mercier Silk Creme foundation.  To be honest I still can't get on with this, it just isn't well suited to my oily skin.  I'm still looking for a way to make this work, but all I can do is top up with mattifying powder a lot. I may have made a sneaky Escentual order with a little mattifying foundation included - keep your eyes peeled for a review!  On my cheeks I've fallen back in love with NARS Desire applied with a very light hand for a natural matte flush on my cheeks (review here) which is perfect for the Spring months before the corals and peaches come out of hiding.

Not strictly a pink product, but pink packaging - the L'oreal Miss Manga mascara has spent a lot of time on my lashes lately for a pretty fluttery finish, I won't say too much yet because there's a review on the way, but I'm impressed.  Also on my eyes is a NARS eyeshadow from the beautiful NARSissist palette (review coming soon!) - Nepal is the second shadow from the left on the middle row which is described as a 'soft sheer rose'.  It's a beautiful soft-focus shade which I'm loving blending out all over the lid, or occasionally adding a bit of depth to with one of the matte brown shades.

Lastly, lips.  I have enough pink lipsticks to last me a lifetime, but at the moment I'm loving the Revlon Matte Balm in Elusive.  Although it's a matte finish, it isn't at all drying because it's so creamy which is absolutely perfect as my lips haven't quite recovered from the cold winter months.  The cool-toned pink shade is toned-down enough to be suitable for daily wear, but is definitely noticeable on the lips.

What shades are you reaching for this spring?  Are you picking pinks too?
