Brand Focus: NARS

Like I assume most people reading this do, I adore NARS.  Their products are high quality, beautiful and talked about non-stop.  I've got a few (grubby) bits and pieces, but I'm always looking to add more to my little collection!

Aside from the dirt-magnet ability, the packaging is beautiful and just feels luxurious.  All of the palettes and pans have a decent sized mirror in the lid and they're all a reasonable size.

Foundation
I've got two NARS foundations, Sheer Matte and All Day Luminous Weightless.  I bought Sheer Matte first, after reading so many good reviews.  It's relatively heavy coverage and takes a while to blend, but it's medium coverage looks lovely on the skin.  The winner for me is All Day Luminous - I reviewed it here not long ago, but long story short it's good.

Cheeks
My first NARS purchase was the blusher in Desire.  It's super bright, but with a fluffy brush and a light hand you can swipe a healthy flush over your cheeks - my very old review is here.  The star of the cheek show is the One Night Stand palette (review here).  It's a beautiful palette with a highlighter, a bronzer and four blushers - perfect for every occassion.  This always gets popped into my make up bag for holidays, trips home or just a night away.

Eyes
The NARSissist eye shadow palette was a present from Rob last year.  It's a beautiful palette of 15 shadows.  There's a mixture of matte, glitter and shimmer shades ranging from a true black, to bronzes and purpley-blues to a shimmery highlight.  Everything you could wish for in a beautiful little palette.

I don't have any lip products from NARS which I'm desperate to change - how gorgeous are the Velvet Matte lip pencils?! I also have my beady eye on the Creamy Concealer.  Do you have anything from NARS? I'd love to hear your recommendations.

  1. I think it is physically impossible for NARS packaging to not get messy.
I really wanted the Narsissist palette last year but I'm so stingy with money... :P

  2. I've tried their Creamy Concealer and recently got a couple Nars lip pencils as my birthday gift from Sephora! The concealer is lovely, and the shade range is great, I would definitely recommend trying it. I also really like the neutral pink lip pencil I got, but the other one is a bright red and I find because it doesn't dry down completely, it smudges like mad! I ended up with it on my hands an hour later, and then around my mouth after eating lunch! Hope that helps :) x Krista

I'd love it if you'd take a look at my blog if you have the time! xo

  3. Nars is by far my favourite, makeup brand and I adore the blushes and eyeshadows, but I prefer the Sheer Glow Foundation. I have the Radiant Creamy Concealer and it's a total holy-grail product for me, so I'm sure you'll love it!

  4. Nars is my absolute favourite make up brand. I have a post with swatches of my nine Nars Audacious lipsticks, I've bought two more since then...don't tell anyone lol. The lip liners are amazing too, so pigmented. I can't recommend the lip products enough
