Shopping my Stash for Autumn

Autumn Beauty Make Up Shopping My Stash Urban Decay Revln Rimmel Mac Lipstick Maybelline Nars Eyeshadow Benefit Blush

I've put off admitting it for as long as I can, but summer is finally here and it's time to embrace autumn.  As much as I love cosy blankets, cute shoe boots and warm scarves, I am a summer girl through and through so I can't help dragging out the peachy pinks and shimmery bronzers as long as possible.  I'm just about ready so switch up my makeup bag to reflect the season, so I've dug through my stash to find my autumn favourites.

Welcome back, smokey eyes.  I'm dragging my Naked palette and NARSissist palette out of the drawer for a bit of loving.  In the cooler months, I love a bit of Urban Decay Smog (shimmering dark bronze) and Darkhorse (shimmery chocolate brown), and NARS Fez (another dark bronze), Mekong (brown with red/gold shimmer) and Coconut Grove (a true dark matte brown). I'm also pulling the Maybelline Color Tattoos out of retirement - I only own Permanent Taupe and On and On Bronze, but I'm looking to add a few more shades to my collection this season.  I love the look of the shimmery red and the matte beige shades.

Autumn Beauty Make Up Shopping My Stash Benefit Rockateur Rose Gold Blush

My stash seems to be pretty inundated with peachy pinks and shimmery corals, there aren't many shades appropriate for the grey skies.  I love Benefit Rockateur to add a rose gold shimmer to my cheeks, but I'm looking for a neutral barely-there shade; recommendations welcome!

Autumn Beauty Make Up Shopping My Stash Urban Decay Revolution lipstick Gash Vampy Deep Red Berry

No surprises when it comes to lips - anything vampy is perfect.  The Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Crush leaves a pretty berry stain, MAC Rebel is a bit pinker and more opaque but just as beautiful.  Urban Decay Revolution lipstick in Gash is a deep red, and Rimmel 107 deserves every bit of hype surrounding it as the go-to reddish berry shade for A/W.  All four got used so much last autumn/winter, and I can imagine they'll be getting a lot of love this season too.

Bring on the hot chocolates!

I'd be interested to see how you use Permanent Taupe - I own it and can't seem to work with it :(

  11. I think 'shopping your stash' is such a good idea. I've just updated my storage, and its so awful when you're sifting through looking at all your barely-used products and duplicates etc! I'm also a fan of the Maybelline cream shadows, I currently have four shades :)xx

  16. Pft, I for one am embracing fall with open arms since I'm not the biggest fan of summer--I THINK AUTUMN NEEDS TO BE LONGER. I don't have any blush recs, since my autumn blushes are like, berries and reds, but Rockateur is definitely one of my go-to autumn blush shades since it can be so subtle! And believe it or not, I wore a bold lip outside for the first time ever this season! Wearing a bold lip is generally terrifying for me, but I decided to give it a go since I was too inspired by the season :D
