Five Favourite Cheek Products of 2013

Five Favourite Cheek Products of 2013 Laura Mercier Benefit NARS MAC

Following on from yesterday's post on my top picks for your lips of 2013, today I've got my favourite cheek products to show you.

To contour my face, Benefit Hoola is a firm favourite.  My little box is looking a little worse for wear, I've had this for a good few years and I've hit pan hard but I'm making the most of it before the leftovers smash into a million pieces.  It's such a perfect shade for under my cheekbones and on my temples to make my face look less football-like, and it's matte making it a more natural option.  I use this on a daily basis all year round, so the fact that I've had it this long it amazing, I've definitely got my moneys worth.  I'm not quite sold on the packaging, but I love the bronzer so much that I don't care!

I realise that I've only had the NARS One Night Stand palette for a little while, but it just had to be in my top five - I adore it.  Read my full review of the palette here.  Four blushers, a bronzer and a highlighter make up the most perfect palette I've ever seen.  All of the shades are so wearable and gorgeous - there isn't a single one I'm not keen on.  For travelling, this is perfect - you have a bronzer, highlighter and a few options to add a pop of colour all in one compact place.  I can see this being a firm favourite for a long time.

I don't own many winter-appropriate blushers, but MAC Prom Princess is always on my apples when the weathers a bit chilly - have a nose at my thoughts in full by clicking here.  The warm berry-toned pink adds a natural flush to my skin without looking over done, and the subtle shimmer gives your skin the glow it needs in the freezing cold.  In the summer it's a choice of MAC Melba or Laura Mercier Lush Nectarine (review here).  They're both absolutely gorgeous corally-peach shades that look fab on tanned skin, the main difference being that Melba is matte and Lush Nectarine has a slight shimmer.  From May to September these are the only two to add a bit of colour to my cheeks - everything else is pushed aside.

Honourable mentions: NARS Desire, Benefit Coralista and Sleek Dollymix from the Blush By 3 Palette in Sweet Cheeks.

What are your favourite blushers, bronzers and highlighters this year? I'd love to know your recommendations to add to my wishlist!  Tomorrow: top eye products.
