Nyx Cosmetics

Firstly, hope you all had a brilliant Christmas!  Now that the big day is over, I'm sure I'm not the only one who needs to be a bit tighter with spending, so for now - bye bye high end beauty splurges! Thankfully, this brilliant brand has recently arrived at Boots online and the high quality products matched with the low prices meant I don't need to completely tighten my purse strings just yet.

Of course I couldn't resist the matte lip creams - I fancied a nude shade so after a bit of research I chose Stockholm.  This is the perfect everyday lip shade - I am loving how easy it is to throw on with any makeup look, and even though it's matte this is so comfortable to wear - you can hardly even notice it!

I have read endless good things about the Butter Glosses, so I went for another nude shade - Tiramisu.  This is much more pigmented than I expected, and it really is buttery smooth on your lips and not at all sticky! I love it :)

This lip liner is an absolute beauty, and perfect for this time of year! Even though the name is long and unnecessary, it is pretty good! I have the shade Dark Soul but I'm fancying adding a few more shades to my stash.

Lastly, the Jumbo Eye Pencil in Rust is such a beautiful shade and I had pretty high expectations, but I'm not so impressed with this one.  When it's first applied it's really pigmented but as soon as you even think about blending it, all of the pigmentation disappears.  After a good few layers I finally was happy with how it looked, but two hours later it was really creased, even when paired with a primer.

As you can see, the shades are gorgeous and all of the items are really pigmented, it's such a shame about the eye pencil because the shade is so beautiful!  I really want to try some more bits from NYX< so what are your favourite products from this brand?
