Festive Party Beauty

I'm pretty sure that festive makeup is my ultimate favourite type of look to create.  I love piling the glitter onto my eyelids, going overboard with a highlighter and painting my lips with my favourite shades.  What better time is there to put festive beauty into action than a Christmas party?! I created this look two weeks ago for my work Christmas do, and I can imagine I'll be doing something pretty similar on Christmas day.

Pink Beauty Favourites

With spring finally poking it's little head out, I'm starting to gravitate away from the full coverage base and berry lips, and beginning to crave lighter finishes and pastel pink shades.  Lately I've found myself repeatedly reaching for pinky hues in all aspects of my make-up; eyes, cheeks and lips - these are the products I've been going for.

Welcome to 2013! I hope you all had a lovely festive holiday and a happy new year, mine was filled with family, friends and boyfriend, delicious food and too much alcohol - perfect!  I've had a wonderful few weeks home from university, but it's back to Bristol for me on Sunday.  I don't really tend to make resolutions, because I'm so rubbish at sticking to them, but this year I'm having an alcohol-free January for the cancer research Dryathlon, trying to drink more water, and making efforts to eat healthier.  Hopefully I'll be able to carry it on for a while, but knowing me I'll be lucky to get to a few weeks!
