High Street Beauty Favourites

High Street Beauty Makeup Favourites La Roche Posay Tangle Teacer Revlon L'Oreal Batiste Real Techniques Maybelline Soap and Glory
Although I am a bit of a sucker for a splurge on a high-end product, the majority of my stash is made up of high-street bits and bobs.  There are some beauties out there for really low prices, but you just have to search around for them.

Skincare
You probably know by now, but I adore the La Roche Posay skincare range - it's perfect for my oily acne-prone skin, and there's so many ranges to suit all sorts of skin-types without breaking the bank.  My absolute favourites: Effaclar Duo and Effaclar M.

Bodycare
The Mitchum roll-on deodorant is the best deodorant I've ever used, since trying it I haven't even considered anything else - If you haven't tried it, give it a shot. Trust me.  Soap and Glory is idea for shower/bath products, but my favourites from the brand are the body butters, I'm using the Righteous Butter but I'm yet to try one I dislike - they smell delicious, aren't sticky and sink in quickly leaving my skin silky smooth.

Haircare
The Tangle Teaser is an absolute miracle worker on my brittle hair, it's the only thing that doesn't break every strand as I brush it, and makes brushing wet hair as pain-free and easy as possible.  Batiste is a cult dry shampoo in the Blogosphere, and for good reason - it soaks up excess oil and adds a bit of volume for good measure; I just wish it didn't leave a white cast on my dark hair.

Make up
For me, make up is where the highstreet excels - there's such a huge range of products for low prices, how can anyone resist? Some of my favourites are the Maybelline Colour Tattoo cream eyeshadows, Revlon lip pencils and lip butters, L'oreal mascaras (particularly Volume Million Lashes), Maybelline Lash Drama, Seventeen mattifying powder and Lush lip scrubs.  The Real Techniques makeup brushes are also a firm favourite across the beauty-blogging world, and as soon as I bought into the hype I fell in love too.  I now have quite the collection; my favourites are the Expert Face brush and the Contour brush, ideal for creating a flawless base.

What are your high street favourites? I've got a wishlist as long as my arm - the Revlon Super Lustrous lipsticks, Maybelline The Falsies mascara and Lee Stafford Oily Roots Dry Ends shampoo need to be added to my collection ASAP!  What else do I need from the high street?

  1. Great post, I've got a lot of the same products ;D Though you might want to try the Batiste for brunettes - it doesn't leave a white cast :)

  2. As much as I love Batiste, I've moved on. I friggen love Tresemme's and Dove's dry shampoos....Tresemme's is transparent and WE'RE GONNA GET MARRIED.
Sleek and MUA blushes are some of my UK highstreet favs, and I love most of Wet n Wild's products here in the Americas!
