After using old shedding eye make-up brushes for a bit too long I bit the bullet and bought this beautiful little set - how gorgeous are these brushes?! They look almost too cute to use sat on my dressing table, and put some of my other brushes to shame. I realise all that really matters is how well they apply make-up, but I'm a sucker for a beautiful brush!

Zoeva Rose Gold Eye Brushes
After using old shedding eye make-up brushes for a bit too long I bit the bullet and bought this beautiful little set - how gorgeous are these brushes?! They look almost too cute to use sat on my dressing table, and put some of my other brushes to shame. SJ Watson: Before I Go To Sleep
I had Before I go to Sleep sitting on my Kindle waiting to be read and I'd kind of forgotten it was there - I tend to buy a few books at a time then work my way through them one at a time. One night Rob and I were looking for a film to watch, and ended up putting the film of this book on - I loved it. As soon and I finished what I was reading at the time, I dived straight into this thriller.

J's Italian
After loving every bite at Larry's Steak and Lobster a few weeks ago, when Rob and I found out that J's Italian was part of the same Relentless chain of restaurants we couldn't wait to give it a go. We popped down on Friday night after work for a sneaky date night.

YSL Rouge Volupte in Peach Passion
When I popped to Cardiff with my Mum back in February half term I still had a Boots gift card knocking around in my purse which (for once) I didn't know what to spend on. I've wanted the Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupte lipstick in Peach Passion for probably years, equally because of the beautiful shade and the gorgeous packaging, so I snapped it up and I'm over the moon that I did - it's gorgeous! (£26 - link here)

Annabel Pitcher: Ketchup Clouds
I enjoyed all of the John Green books, I read a few by Rainbow Rowell and then this popped up in my recommended reads. Although it was different to my usual choices, it wasn't expensive so I gave it a shot. Ketchup Clouds definitely wasn't what I expected, but I had to read to the end.

What I've Been Watching
Rob and I have been spending our evenings snuggled up under a blanket watching films lately, and we've watched a few good'uns that we've both enjoyed.

Benefit Roller Lash
Roller Lash is the new super curling and lifting mascara from the beauties at Benefit (£19.50). It uses a Hook 'n' Roll brush to grab, separate, lift and curl lashes and the curve-setting formula is said to hold a curl for 12 hours. I have the mini sample from Elle magazine, but does it compare to my beloved YSL Babydoll?

Robert Galbraith: The Silkworm
The Silkworm is the second novel in the Cormoran Strike series written by J K Rowling under the pseudonym Robert Galbraith. It's a crime novel packed full of twists and turns that had me hooked!

Girl Problems
We all have them - little tiny bumps in the road which make life hard, am I right? Here's just 20 of them, but I'm pretty sure this list is endless.

Benefit Gimme Brow
Most of the time my eyebrows drive me mad. The hairs seem to want to always point downwards, which is definitely not a good look. Thankfully I discovered clear mascara pretty early on, which seemed to help, but I wanted something to add a bit of colour and definition too. I tried brown mascara and a few high-street offerings, but I never found what I was looking for. I'd read countless good reviews of this tiny product, so I snapped it up using a Feel Unique discount code.

Veronica Roth: Divergent Trilogy
By chance one evening, Rob and I watched the Divergent film and we loved it. As soon as it was finished I headed to Amazon and made a quick purchase of the first book. Immediately after finishing it, I began the second. And then the third. Although I'm a thriller-lover and usually stay away from this sort of story, I couldn't help being sucked into their world. Safe to say I'm a big fan.

La Tasca
Every time I walk past a branch of La Tasca I'm drawn to the menu. Until now I've never tried tapas food despite always fancying it. Rob and I have been making an effort to try out new restaurants, cafes and bars around Portsmouth rather than returning to places we know we like over and over again, so last week it was La Tasca's turn.

Liz Earle Instant Radiance Collection for Oily/Combination Skin
After bringing Liz Earle's classic Cleanse and Polish back into my skincare routine after Christmas, I've fallen back in love with her skincare. I can't get enough of the scent! When I spotted this Instant Radience Collection in John Lewis for £25 I had to snap it up.

Gillian Flynn: Sharp Objects
Gillian Flynn's Gone Girl was a huge hit and was turned into a seriously popular film, but was her first book as impressive?
