Millie's Cookies Recipe

On a grey, rainy day a few weeks ago my sister and I were having some serious Millie's Cookies cravings so we dug around the cupboards and had a browse on the internet before cracking out the mixing bowl.

We went for this super simple recipe (here) from BBC Good Food and to tell you the truth I didn't have particularly high expectations.  We followed the recipe pretty closely, sneaking Mum's Kitchen Aid to mix the ingredients together (such a dreamy mixer!).

The most noticeable difference to the recipe is that it claims to make 12 cookies using walnut-sized blobs, but we managed to make 24 without changing any of the measurements at all, so be weary of that!

Although I didn't have high expectations, as soon as I bit into a warm cookie straight from the oven I was sold - they're delicious! I can't believe how much they taste exactly like Millie's Cookies - they're incredible.  I recommend eating them while their still warm, maybe with a little scoop of ice-cream.  The whole plate was demolished really quickly and we cant wait to mix up another batch!

  2. Oh my goodness these look delicious! I'm such a huge cookie fan. We don't have Millie's Cookies in Australia but I remember when I was in London walking past a Millie's cookies shop and thinking they looked and smelled so good.
