Five High Street Beauty Favourites

High Street Beauty Product Favourites

I do love splashing out on high-end makeup, but sometimes you can't beat the shops right under our noses.  These five products are affordable, easy to find and absolutely brilliant!

The Maybelline Eraser Eye concealer is the best high-street concealer I've ever used. It's really creamy which makes it easy to apply and blend and it's perfect to apply under my eyes and on any blemishes.  It isn't insanely high coverage but I kind of like it - it hides anything I want hidden while still looking like skin.  I love that I can apply it under or over foundation and somehow it always blends in.  It's a perfect concealer to carry in your bag in case you need a top up, because it goes over worn makeup really easily.

For my eyes, two eye liners from opposite ends of the spectrum.  The Rimmel Scandaleyes Kohl Kajal is the perfect nude shade to neutralise my waterline and make me look more awake/less hayfevery.  Its creamy so it doesn't drag and it's barely detectable once applied.  The Soap and Glory Supercat liner is a black felt-pen style eye liner.  I have tried a good few of this style liner, but this one is by far the most impressive.  It's incredibly easy to apply - basically like using a felt tip!  It's nib is long, soft and flexible meaning it leaves a straight and even line across my lash line and it's so easy to draw a flick as big or small as you want.

The Body Shop Honeycomb Bronzer

The newest product out of the five is the Body Shop Honey Bronzer.  It's a gorgeous matte warm-toned bronze which it perfect for adding a bit of warmth to the face.  I do sometimes use it to create a bit of a shadow under my cheek bone, but it's much more suited to general bronzing rather than a contour because of its warm undertones. I use this every day with my Real Techniques blush brush and it's so smooth and easy to blend - I love it!

Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Liquid Lipstick Ole Flamingo

Lastly, the Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet in Ole Flamingo is my absolute favourite high street lipstick.  The doe-foot applicator makes it a dream to apply and it's immediately opaque after being applied.  30 seconds later it's matte without being uncomfortable and bright without being unflattering.  The colour is so pigmented and long-lasting on the lips so no touch-ups needed here!  I get so many compliments when I wear this, which makes me love it even more!

What are your favourite high street favourites, I'm always on the lookout for new favourites!
