Marc Jacobs Daisy Perfume

I love floral fragrances, so I spend all winter looking forward to spring when I can get all of my favourite perfumes out. I am a huge fan of Marc Jacobs perfumes, and I've tried a huge range of limited edition versions of Daisy, but until now I've never owned the original! I finally have it in my collection, and I'm falling in love with it!

Summer Scents

I am one of those people who likes to have different perfumes for different seasons.  In the warmer weather I like a light, fresh, fruity and floral smells, but I like something woodier and earthier when it's a bit chillier.  This summer (if you could even call it that in the UK!) I had a few go-to smells which I reached for every single day.

After talking about it pretty much every day (oops) my mum treated me to this beautiful perfume for my birthday last month, and it's quickly become my go-to summer scent.

Burberry Body

After spritzing the last drop of my beloved Diesel Loverdose Tattoo perfume, I was on the look out for a replacement.  While I was scrolling through my daily Wowcher email I spotted a deal to grab this 60ml bottle for just £20.  I had a sample of this bottle in the past and adored it, so I couldn't leave it there! Twenty minutes later it was hot-footing it's way to my flat.

Its sort of a tradition on our yearly family holiday that we all pick up a new perfume duty-free at the airport.  After checking in we spend much longer than is reasonable spritzing every scent in sight until we find one that takes our fancy.  As soon as I'd had a whiff of this Limited Edition sunshine version of Marc Jacobs Daisy I was in love.

Marc Jacobs Dot Giftset - £47.00

Isn't this the most beautiful perfume bottle ever?! I was lucky enough to have the gift set from my lovely boyfriend for Christmas, among a bunch of other gorgeous presents (thanks Rob :)!).  The set included the 50ml eau de parfum, 75ml body lotion and 75ml shower gel.  I love having the gift sets of perfumes, I always keep the moisturisers and shower gels for special occassions so I don't waste them!

As with all Marc Jacobs fragrances, the bottle is adorable, inspried by Marc Jacobs' love of polka dots it is mostly red and black to represent a ladybird.  The perfume itself smells amazing; it has fruity top notes of dragon fruit and red berries, andsettles to a floral scent of orange blossom and jasmine.  As it is an eau de parfum, the fragrance lasts quite a while on the skin, which is prolonged by the use of the shower gel and moisturiser.  The shower gel lathers easily and, as expected, smells beautiful.  The moisturiser is quickly absorbed into my skin, and a little goes a long way, so this bottle will last me a while.

This is a perfect year-round fragrance, a cheery pick-me-up during the dreary winter months, and the fruity-floral scent makes it ideal for spring/summer.  This has quickly become one of my favourite fragrances - I'm always on the look out for a scent with fruity and floral notes, a gorgeous bottle (I'm a sucker for a cute perfume bottle), and serious staying power.
