While Rob and I were on holiday to Marbella, how could I not pop into the local Sephora and pick up a few beauty bits and pieces?! I stuck mainly to Sephora own brand, because it's so much harder to get hold of in the UK, unless you don't mind a hefty shipping charge, but I got some make up that I haven't stopped using since!
I'd read some pretty impressive reviews of the Sephora Waterproof Contour Eye Pencils, so I grabbed the shade Cocoa. It's a gorgeous chocolate brown with gold shimmer running through it. It applies smoothly and beautifully and if you work quickly it can be blended out to a smudgey smoke, however doesn't smudge too easily once it's applied and stays in place pretty well, especially when paired with a primer. I adore this pencil, and wish I'd picked up a few more shades.
I already have a Sephora Cream Lip Stain in Red, and I was looking forward to grabbing a different shade. I went for this natural pink with a hint of shimmer running through it. It's the same gorgeous formula - matte, smudge-proof and long lasting. Perfect for day-to-day wear.
Possibly my favourite of the bunch - this miniature Make Up Forever Loose HD Powder was right next to the till and I couldn't help picking it up. I've wanted to try it for a while, and I'm loving it so far. It's a bit messy, as expected from a loose powder, but once applied it's pretty much undetectable and even though it's powder, it leaves my skin still looking like skin.
I am loving these Sephora polishes lately - I have quite a few shades now, and they're brilliant! They brush is wide, they're opaque in one coat (although I apply two out of habit) and they're pretty long lasting. They're reasonably priced and there's a huge range of shades to choose from. I picked up these three in Marbella to add to my collection.
Lastly, I'd read about these Sephora Rouge Infusion lip oil/balm/stain hybrids online, but wasn't too sure whether they were worth a shot or not. I found this mini tube by the till and I'm so glad I dropped it into my basket, it's a gorgeous neutral pink shade which is so comfortable to wear on the lips. The formula is unlike anything else I've tried before - it feels like a mixture between a liquid lipstick, a lip oil and a balm. It's comfortable on the lips, but you definitely know its there, although that doesn't bother me. Its got a fruity scent but it fades pretty quickly, and there is a reasonable amount of pigmentation but it's not opaque. I'm really enjoying reaching for this on a day-to-day basis.
I am loving the Sephora own-brand beauty lately, what is on your Sephora wishlist?
