The Perfect Lipstick

Surely I'm not the only one who's spent hours looking for the perfect red, or the perfect nude, or the perfect shade of lipstick.  After years of searching, I think I have quite a few perfects in my collection.

The Perfect Red Lipstick
This Sephora Cream Lip Stain in 01 iswithout a doubt the perfect true red shade.  It's a beautiful blue-toned shade which admittedly is pretty similar to MAC Ruby Woo, but the formula of this matte liquid lipstick is faultless; it's long lasting, comfortable to wear and so opaque.  I very rarely need to re-apply this, making it perfect for someone as lazy as me.

The Perfect Nude Lipstick
The Bobbi Brown lip colour in Shell is such a gorgeous shade, I couldn't not include it (full review here).  It has more of a peach undertone than a typical nude, but that's what makes it perfect for me; I much prefer this kind of shade on my skin tone.  Admittedly, Urban Decay Liar is a close runner up.

The Perfect Peachy-Coral Lipstick
If you know me, you'll know I'm a sucker for a peachy-coral.  I don't just wear them in the warmer months, I love them so much that I wear them all year round.  MAC Cut A Caper (full post here) has been my go-to ever since I bought it.  the Lustre formula makes it really easy to wear, and I love the bright shade.

The Perfect Vampy Lipstick
I adore almost every shade I got in the Urban Decay Full Frontal Lipstick Stash set (review here), but Gash is a different story.  The deep red shade is really flattering to wear, and although there's a hint of shimmer in the bullet it's undetectable in the lips but it manages to make my lips look fuller.  The formulation of the Revolution lipsticks is really comfortable and easy to wear while still being pretty long lasting considering how creamy they are.

The Perfect High Street Lipstick
I've raved about the Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet lipsticks over and over again.  I adore the shade Ole Flamingo (review here), a seriously bright pink in the longest lasting matte formula you'll ever wear which managed to still feel like you have nothing on your lips!  Trust me, they deserve their hype.

The Perfect High End Lipstick
Is it me or is everything about this lipstick perfect? The YSL Rouge Volupte in Peach Passion (review here) was on my wish list for so long, and it was so worth every penny.  The packaging is to die for, the shade is absolutely gorgeous and it applies beautifully.  It's so comfortable to wear and although it isnt the longest lasting shade, it leaves a pretty subtle shade as it fades.

The Perfect Lip Pencil
I have built up quite the collection of lip pencils from high street to high end. and this NARS Velvet Matte lip pencil knocks all of the other competitors out of the water.  Red Square (full post here) is a gorgeous orange toned red that I can wear all year round.  It's completely matte without dragging or drying out my lips, and it withstands talking, drinking, eating and kissing with ease.  I am desperate to add a few more shades of the NARS Velvet Matte lip pencils to my collection.
