High Street Heroes: Barry M Gelly Polishes

Another product from the high street that I can't get enough of is the Barry M nail polishes in the Gelly formula.  Barry M have been a brand I've probably always kept an eye on, even when I first started becoming interested in beauty, I'd have a mini collection of their nail and lip paints in my pink sparkley make-up bag.  Admittedly in the last few years I use products from the brand less and less, but since the release of their Gelly nail varnishes, I always head straight to their stand in Boots.

I've collected seven different shades, and every single one of them is so impressive.  After two coats they're completely opaque, they aren't quick drying but don't take three hours of waving your hands about like fans and there is a huge range of shades to choose from.  My collection ranges from darker shades (Blackberry and Watermelon) to serious brights (Greenberry, Satsuma and Passionfruit) to pretty pastels (Sugar Apple and Papaya).  I love the high-shine finish meaning I usually skip top coat, but they still stay chip free for such a long time - I can usually go 5-7 days chip-free, perfect for girls who don't have time for manicures every other day.

These polishes have become my go to, I don't even look at the OPI or Essie polishes in my collection any more! I've already got my eye on more of the pastel shades, I love the look of the lilac one!  What are your High Street Heroes? Read my other High Street Hero post on a certain Revlon lip product here.

  3. I love love love the Barry M Gelly formulas, they're so impressive - opaque in two coats, chip resistant, and available in such a great range of colours! Plus, the price point is pretty friendly, too.
I'm jealous you have Sugar Apple, though, none of the stores near me ever have it in stock! xx
