J's Italian

After loving every bite at Larry's Steak and Lobster a few weeks ago, when Rob and I found out that J's Italian was part of the same Relentless chain of restaurants we couldn't wait to give it a go.  We popped down on Friday night after work for a sneaky date night.

As soon we walked through the door the waited whisked us downstairs to sit at one of the basement tables which was a bit of a shame - I'm not one to complain usually, but it was freezing, dark and right next to the door through to the toilets, so we were a bit disappointed.  We spent a while looking at the menu, but there just wasn't all that much choice - we both ended up going for a pizza.  I had this rare steak and onion beauty, which tasted delicious! We were both really impressed with the lovely food, we were just a bit disappointed in where we sat. 

Although it was quite nice, I doubt we'll return - there are much nicer italians in Southsea (if you're looking for one I recommend I Italian Bar and Grill).  Do you have any Southsea/Portsmouth restaurant recommendations? We'd love to try some new places!
