Here are a few things that never fail to put a smile on my face:
- spending time with people I love
- waking up to blue skies and the sun shining
- freshly washed bedsheets (even better if paired with freshly washed PJs!)
- getting home from work while it's still light
- receiving post that isn't a bill or junk
- baby animals, particularly the ones that enjoy being fussed
- finishing a good book and still thinking about the characters days later
- finding money I forgot I had in a strange place
- a freezing cold drink with loads of ice on a warm day
- the sound of the waves crashing against the beach
- watching a film which makes me laugh, makes me cry and gives me goosebumps
- fairy lights
- fresh flowers (particularly lillies)
- finding a perfume that I can still smell at the end of the day
- family BBQs
- having my hair done
- feeling like I've made a difference, particularly to the children in my class
- good skin days
- newly-painted nails
- lazy mornings tucked up in bed
- getting ready for a night out
- weddings
- finding a bargain
- long walks
- belly laughing
- being able to lift a weight I couldn't before
- the feeling you get when you wake up early to go on holiday
- bumping into old friends
- cocktails in the sunshine
- clearing out my wardrobe
- amazing fireworks displays (especially the ooh and aahs)
- looking back at old photos
What makes you happy?
Absolutely lovely things! ♥

Yes! I love fairy lights too! I tried to convince my husband that we need them in our bedroom and he looked at me like I was a little crazy. Haha!
