YSL Rouge Volupte in Peach Passion

When I popped to Cardiff with my Mum back in February half term I still had a Boots gift card knocking around in my purse which (for once) I didn't know what to spend on.  I've wanted the Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupte lipstick in Peach Passion for probably years, equally because of the beautiful shade and the gorgeous packaging, so I snapped it up and I'm over the moon that I did - it's gorgeous! (£26 - link here)

We happened to be there at a time there was a YSL deal on, so my mum grabbed their Babydoll mascara and I received a lot of advantage card points thanks to a deal I spotted on the Boots Advantage Card app (well worth a download!).  I also had a sample of the YSL Black Opium perfume which I adore.  Such a feminine scent which lasts for hours on my skin.

Back to this beauty - peach passion is my idea of a perfect peachy pink lip.  The colour is intense without being overpowering, it's creamy without being slippery and it's wearable without being boring.  It's lightweight on the lips, making it super comfortable to wear, and it sticks around for a reasonable amount of time for how creamy it is. Even though it needs a top-up every now and again, I'm more than happy to grab this beautiful packaging out of my bag to re-apply once in a while!  Lets face it, YSL have packaging down.

I can see me getting a lot of wear out of this in the up-coming spring and summer months, so much so that a few of my usual favourites might be missing out a little.  I love this, and I'm over the moon than I own it, but I can't help myself - now I've got my eye on Nude Beige - I don't think this will be the only little gold lipstick in my collection before long!
