A few weeks ago while we were home for the Easter break, after a bit of food at Bills (those sweet potato fries are to die for) Rob and I headed to Cardiff Student Union to watch Lower than Atlantis for the second time in two years.
Since we were last there, the Student Union has been refurbished. Neither of us went/go to Cardiff University so we don't really go apart from live music, so this was the first time we've seen it new and improved. It's quickly become one of the nicest gigi venues I've been to - it's really open and airy which it nice when there are hundreds of people jumping around. We spent most of our time on the upstairs balcony where we had an awesome view, and could laugh at people trying to crowd-surf below us. There is booth seating big enough for large groups of people to sit around, where some older fans sat to enjoy the music. Although I love Lower's latest album, I'm a sucker for their older stuff and it was so good to hear a mix of their newer and older songs.
We had a brilliant time and I don't doubt will be keeping an eye out for tickets next time they tour too!
I only recently heard Lower Than Atlantis (I know I'm super late to the party!) but I think they're great :) Glad you enjoyed the gig.

They were brilliant! They're touring again in December and I'm tempted!
