A Bar Bistro

I've lived in Portsmouth for almost a year now, and I've been walking past a cute little bistro all the time and always saying I wanted to go there but it took me this long to actually go through the door.  There are so many places I want to go here it's pretty much endless! After our day at the Isle of Wight (post here) we popped to A Bar Bistro for a few drinks and some food.

We sat on a table outside to enjoy the sunshine and a had a few glasses of wine while we chatted.  We ordered all of the little appetisers to share between the four of us - they were delicious (especially the bread) and disappeared in about two minutes.

Seeing as we were so close to the sea it would have been silly not to have some sort of seafood.  The mussels were so delicious, and came with a huge pile of skinny fries and bread.  I honestly couldn't move afterwards, but every bite was delicious.  Rob had the biggest portion of fish and chips ever which was so tasty!

The food and drinks were really lovely, but it definitely wasn't the most impressive thing about this restaurant - it was the service.  The waiters and waitresses were so helpful and genuinely happy to help.  The atmosphere was so relaxed and friendly, we all really enjoyed!
